You will always find these plain garments, declined in very classic shades of black, white, blue jeans; but also in fashionable shades: taupe, orange, gold.
Vertical stripes are very common on women's shirts. Thin or thick, stripes on a shirt always lengthen the silhouette of the wearer. The best way to combine a striped shirt with plain flowing trousers is to pair it with plain trousers. Stripes are rare on blouses. The shape of women's blouses does not necessarily lend itself to it.
Check shirts are often found in the autumn-winter collections. They are reminiscent of thick and comfortable Canadian lumberjack shirts. As with stripes, checks are almost non-existent on blouses.
But there are many common patterns for blouses and shirts. First of all flowers, small or larger, or other plant elements such as leaves or fruit, they adorn many blouses and shirts. Secondly, animal motifs are timeless: snake scales, zebra stripes or leopard spots. They are available on several backgrounds: pink, brown, white, black.
Finally, abstract, graphic motifs are multiplied on women's blouses and shirts: broken lines, geometric shapes, polka dots, arabesques, etc...
